Michael CottrellImagillaboration Project CoordinatorCurrently Professor of Sculpture at Florida Community College at Jacksonville , I began my artistic career studying pottery at Warren Wilson College in Asheville North Carolina, and went on to pursue an MFA in sculpture and ceramics from East Carolina University. My work incorporates everything from fabric to cast iron and fabricated steel. I am extremely interested in international artistic experiences, and have traveled to almost every country in Western Europe, as well as Finland, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Czech Republic, and Indonesia in search of new artistic perspectives. Thank you to everyone who is participating in, or supporting this project. I am very excited about our collective effort to work together as a community to create a dynamic body of work.
